Dogging sites

Dogging in Kent

From Toys Hill and the North Downs to Reculver, the Western Heights and Dungeness, the Garden of England's best-known dogging spots, with a map for each.

Kent really is the Garden of England, and not just for the hop gardens. From the woods on the edge of London to the white cliffs of Dover, there are hundreds of places where doggers meet, plenty of them a short drive from the M25, the M2 and the M20, plus a dogging site so popular it even made it onto Google Maps!

It is a big county, so we have split it into six areas. Each spot comes with a map, plus a what3words address for the ones you reach on foot. A lot of them have walkers and families about in daylight, so the notes tell you when to turn up. Spots change, so treat each one as a starting point.

Dartford, Gravesend and Medway

Up in North Kent, within easy reach of the M25 and the A2, there is heathland at Dartford, ancient woods round Cobham and Higham, and parks, commons and a beach car park out across the Medway towns.

Dartford Heath

A big stretch of open heath and woodland right next to the town, with parking on the roadsides and by the playing field. The car park at the Wilmington end is mostly straight, while the other side is a long-standing gay spot, so pick your end. Most of the action is in the woods, and the ladies who do turn up never lack for company.
