Couples Dogging and Wife Dogging

How couples get into dogging, from talking it through and setting limits to your first visit together.

Plenty of people go dogging alone, but some of the most popular visitors at any dogging spot are couples. Whether it's a couple who love to be watched, a wife who enjoys the attention of other men while her partner looks on, or two people who just want to watch together, couples dogging is one of the most searched-for corners of the scene. Here's how it works, and how to make it a great experience for both of you.

What is couples dogging?

Couples dogging simply means a couple going dogging together. For some, that means having sex in the car while others watch. For others, it means one or both partners playing with other people. "Wife dogging" is the popular term for one version of it: a woman enjoying the attention of other men, or women, at a dogging spot, often with her partner watching or joining in. Some couples go purely to watch other people, and that's fine too.

Talk about it first

The couples who enjoy dogging most are the ones who've talked it through properly beforehand. Agree on:

If one of you is keener than the other, take it slowly. Our guide on how to introduce your partner to dogging covers how to bring it up and give them time to decide.

Your first visit together

Many couples start by simply parking up at a well-known spot and watching from the car. It's a low-pressure way to see what goes on, and you can leave whenever you like. When you're ready to be watched, staying in the car is a good start: wind a window down to show you're happy for people to come closer, and wind it back up if you've had enough.

Couples, and women in particular, tend to get a very warm welcome at dogging spots, because single men usually outnumber everyone else. That's flattering, but it can also feel overwhelming. You're in charge: nobody gets involved unless you invite them, and a firm "no thanks" should always be respected. If it isn't, leave.

Where couples go

Some spots are known for attracting couples, others are mostly single men, and some are mostly frequented by gay and bi men. Our county guides say which is which, so check the entry before you go. Browse our UK dogging sites to find spots near you, or start with the top 5 UK dogging locations.

Stay a team

And remember the basics: keep it out of sight of the public, take your litter home, and read up on dogging etiquette and the law before you go.

Meeting other couples

A lot of couples prefer to arrange things in advance rather than leave it to chance, chatting to other couples and singles online before they meet up. It's a great way to make sure everyone wants the same things before you even set off.
